Registration for the Summer season will open shortly for Under the Lights youth flag football league.  The SUMMER season runs from July through August, with games taking place at:

GENERAL LEAGUE FORMAT:

• 6 game season plus playoffs or consolation games
• 6 v 6 format on 25 yd wide x 50 yd long fields.
• NO pass rush, just a sack count according to grade divisions. Emphasis on the pass game and run game strategy.
• K – 2nd Grade – 6 seconds
• 3rd - 6th  Grade – 4 seconds
• 7th - 8th Grade – 3 seconds
• We will allow run tosses and lateral pass at the snap.
• Warm up practices are held a hour before the games (Coaches have the option to practice during other nights of the week to prepare their teams but these practices are not mandatory.
• NO Tryouts. NO Drafts. Rosters are formed by "friend" or "coach" request (child requesting a coach) these are requests and cannot be guaranteed. Single athletes will be placed on teams with some similarity and familiarity such as same school, neighborhood, organization, etc. as the other players on the team.  Teams will be balanced (through the combine, we will ensure each team has a QB to start with). 
• Games played in the evenings when possible.
• FUN FAMILY ENVIRONMENT FOR ALL!!!

REFUND POLICY:

We at Under the Lights Flag offer the following refunds within these specific timelines. All refund requests must be submitted by email to your League Commissioner.

• FULL or 100% registration fee refund if requested before uniforms are ordered for the league which occurs 4 weeks prior to kickoff.
• NO REFUNDS AFTER UNIFORMS ARE ORDERED
• In the event that the Under the Lights Flag season is canceled prior to the 4th game of the season due to an unforeseen event such as a COVID19 outbreak, then HALF or 50% registration fee refund will be processed. If the season is canceled after the 4th game of the season due to an unforeseen event such as a COVID19 outbreak, NO REFUND will be processed.

COACHES AND VOLUNTEERS:

• All coaches are volunteers and are not provided by Under the Lights Flag League.
• All Coaches and Volunteers must provide the Commissioner of your league with a current Coaches certification and background check. Each certificate is valid for 1 calendar year. If you need to update or obtain both please use the following links:

Frequently Asked Questions

6th-8th Middle School ALL Girls

• Field is 25-30 yards wide and 50 yards long, including the 5 yard end zones
• Games are 6 players v 6 players.
• Two 20-minute running clock halves (2 minute break at half).
• Each possession starts at the 5 yard line after scores, turnover on downs and/or halftime.
• *Changed 30 second play clock
• The offensive team has three downs to get a first down at mid-field, then 4 downs to score once they have crossed mid-field.
• All players are eligible.
• *Changed ONE coach is allowed on the field for both offense and defense
• Defensive players can rush the QB from 7 yards off the LOS.  There is no limit to the number of players that can rush the QB.  
• *Changed The defense has the right of way when rushing the QB.  The offense must make an attempt to avoid the rusher.  
• The QB CAN have direct runs across the LOS.  On direct QB runs, with no fake, the defense players under 7 yards cannot cross the LOS until the QB crosses the LOS.
• *Only Players lined up 7 yards away from the LOS can rush into the offensive backfield. On direct QB runs, players lined up within 7 yards of the LOS cannot pull the QB’s flag until the QB crosses the LOS.
• YES, there are runs 5yds from the end zone.
• YES, you can have running plays 5yds from mid-field.
• YES, there are runs on extra points.
• The center can snap side-saddle or between the legs.  If side-saddle, the center MUST snap the ball directly to the player behind the center.  There are no trick snaps to other players if using side-saddle snaps. And not to the motion player.
